By accessing or using Codescribe, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the platform.

Codescribe is an AI-powered platform that analyzes GitHub repositories and generates professional README files and LinkedIn posts. The service uses third-party AI models (OpenAI) and integrates with GitHub's API to access repository data you provide.

You may register using email/password or GitHub OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account or use another person's account. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms or remain inactive for extended periods.

You agree not to use Codescribe to: (a) submit repositories containing illegal content; (b) attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit the platform; (c) use the service to generate spam or misleading content at scale; (d) circumvent any rate limits or access controls; (e) violate GitHub's Terms of Service when providing repository URLs.

The content you generate using Codescribe belongs to you. You retain all rights to the original code and repositories you submit. Codescribe's platform, design, and underlying technology remain the intellectual property of the service operators. You grant us a limited license to process your repository data solely to provide the service.

Codescribe relies on third-party services including GitHub API, OpenAI, and Supabase. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or actions of these services. Your use of GitHub OAuth is also governed by GitHub's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Codescribe offers one-time credit purchases (Core and Pro plans) processed securely by Stripe. Credits are added to your account balance upon successful payment confirmation via Stripe webhook. Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable once purchased. They do not expire but are tied to your account — if your account is terminated for violations of these terms, unused credits are forfeited. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time; changes do not affect credits already purchased.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies — you are responsible for reviewing and editing all generated content before publishing. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your stored data will be removed within 30 days.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
